  • Ingre­di­ents:
  • 2 lbs. Span­ish onions, thick sliced and rings separated
  • 24 oz. water
  • 2 cups all-pur­pose flour
  • 12 oz. melt­ed vanil­la ice cream
  • Yes, you read that right: 12 oz. melt­ed vanil­la ice cream
  • 8 oz. corn meal
  • Veg­etable oil

Dip onion rings in water, then flour; shake off any excess.

And Now for the Secret Ingredient!

Dip in the melt­ed ice cream, then corn meal.

Place on cook­ie sheet to air dry for at least 20 minutes.

Fry until browned.

Extra-Groovy Tip:

Sift­ing the flour and corn meal once in a while keeps lumps out and makes it eas­i­er to coat the rings.
