From the ultra-secret files of my Granny!
Don't make any changes to this recipe. You don't want my granny to haunt you!
- No. 1 jar of plain dill pickles (not kosher)
- 6 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup white vinegar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
Slice pickles nice and thick.
Rinse and drain overnight.
Add other ingredients in sealed container and refrigerate.
Turn/stir until sugar is all dissolved; about 5 days.
