Oh sure; the cute little Wasabi looks cuddly and harmless. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
- 3⁄4 cup soy sauce
- 1⁄3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. orange juice
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 2 tsp. ground ginger or 2 tbsp. fresh grated ginger
- 2 tsp. wasabi powder
- Sesame seeds
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, honey, ginger, and wasabi powder. Dissolve brown sugar. Cool slightly. Transfer to a small bowl, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve with beef, pork, chicken, fish, seafood, tofu, or vegetables.
Makes about 1 cup.
